Released October 10, 2025

Summary

Kicking off a series of data-focused new product developments within the DORAedge platform, we released the first functionality to import records (as an alternative to manually adding them through the forms).

What's new

New Contract records can now be added to DORAedge via import.

  • Download a DORAedge-tenant specific spreadsheet template for populating Contact information offline. The spreadsheet:

    • Enables bulk (more than one) upload of new Contract records.

    • Contains existing tenant-specific records (lists of Entities, Branches, Functions, and Providers) that are sourced directly from DORAedge into the spreadsheet and are options to select via dropdown lists in relevant columns/fields.

  • In the import wizard, the Validate Data step reflects all data from the import spreadsheet and identifies any and all errors related to data entry. Users can follow this to correct errors in the import spreadsheet, save a new version, and re-upload if needed.

  • Contract records now have a Record Source assignment (shown on the Contract card in the Details section), either Manually Added or Imported. In the Contracts table, the list can be filtered on this field.

Important notes:

  • Import spreadsheet

    • Any records (Entities, Branches, Functions, and Providers) linked need to already exist in DORAedge. The spreadsheet import template accessible for this release is for Contract records only.

    • Every Contract listed in the import spreadsheet needs to satisfy all data validation rules in order to be uploaded successfully.

    • To represent multiple Relationships or Signatories within a Contract, the Contract Reference Number should be copied into new rows as needed.

  • Step-by-step instructions for Importing Contracts are on the ICT Network page of the User Guide.

Why bulk import?

The EBA Register of Information template is complex to interpret and understand, resulting in data errors and excessive time loss to prepare.

We built this functionality to:

  • Harmonize the EBA template with the Contract form in DORAedge, reducing redundant reference fields and streamlining data collection.

  • Increase data (ICT network) comprehension and legibility by allowing list names rather than EBA code.

  • Speed up data gathering in DORAedge through single-action bulk upload vs. single record data entry.

  • Create efficiency and transparency around collating Contract details for the Register of Information across organizations.

What's to come

  • Downloadable error spreadsheet

    • Users will be able to download a full data import error list to review and share outside of the DORAedge platform.

  • Using the import functionality to edit existing records (not just create New)

    • Users will be able to write over existing record versions to update information. The same bulk import record functionality will exist.

  • Extending the import functionality to other record types

    • Users will be able to import records other than Contracts (Entities, Branches, Functions, and Providers).

  • Saving import sessions/invalid records as a draft

    • Users will be able to return to the record errors from import at a later time to rectify them and save valid records.
